The Progressive Discipline Policy as outlined in the Classified Contract, is primarily used with Classified Employees (security, clerical, para, etc.), but occasionally is used with Certified Staff (teachers, librarians, etc.).

The following are the steps in disciplinary matters:
  • Verbal conversation
  • Letter of Concern
  • Letter of Reprimand
  • Letter of Final Reprimand
  • Termination
KCPS Administration reserves the right to skip steps in the disciplinary process, depending on the severity of the issue or behavior.
